Inline with the rapid evolution of the digital world over the last 12 years, my career has spanned several diciplines including graphic design, user interface design (web, tv, mobile), search marketing, social media marketing, business analysis and project management.

My key offering to employers past and present is my multi-diciplined, multi-specialist abilities, which is supported by my inquisitive nature and natural propensity to assist others.

I've been involved in the full lifecycle of a website from initial requirements gathering, project management, design, development, day to day webmaster duties and developing marketing campaigns to acquire and retain customers.

I currently work for a Digital Agency in the Isle of Man as a UX Developer / Search Marketeer / Project Manager.

My employment started as Graphic Design Manager, where I established a team of 4 Graphic Designers working within the Marketing Department.

I was invited to become an IT Project Manager in 2006 to lead the development of the next version of the StanJames.com sportsbook. As part of this role I managed a team of 3 developers (Head of Development, Senior Developer, Junior Developer).

Due to changing business requirements, the project took on a new direction and I was promoted to the position of Product Development Manager and returned to the Marketing Department. In this role I contributed to the ongoing development of the StanJames.com online portfolio and was line manager to a Product Development Executive.

Job Description

  • Working with the Sportsbook Manager, develop new features and enhancements for the sports betting website.
  • Produce user interface designs and prototypes, which are used for proof of concept, qualitative customer feedback sessions and to get sign-off to proceed with the development of the features.
  • Work with Business Analysts and the Development Team to produce specifications for new features.
  • Use transactional and CRM databases as a source of quantitative research in the development of new features.
  • Management of Webtrends analytics and data warehouse product integration.
  • Management of the company's search and social media marketing strategy. This is focused around betting.stanjames.com and submitting change requests to the Development Team to improve on-site optimisation.

  • Graphic Artist to the Head of Consumer Marketing, developing the On-screen Magazine.
  • Worked on Enhanced TV games including the programme Countdown.
